Globally Reusable Workflows in SharePoint Designer 2010

With SharePoint 2010, we have two new workflow types we can create, a Reusable Workflow, and a Site Workflow. Today we’ll concentrate on how to create globally reusable workflows. 

Globally Reusable workflow can be create only at top level site collection

Steps

Go to Sharepoint designer and click on new reusable workflow

Select a content type or keep all which is by default

Start typing and create the workflow according to the requirement.

click on publish globally

go to any list where the selected content type is added and click on workflow settings

Click workflow setting page click on add new workflow and select the newly created workflow

Now the Workflow will be attached to the list content type
